Sony has launched game-of-the-year nominated PlayStation exclusives yearly since 2015, with Astro Bot being its tenth consecutive GOTY nomination. The Sport Awards 2024 nominees had been introduced yesterday, with Sony Interactive Leisure being the main writer and PS5 exclusives dominating the record.

In 2017, Horizon Zero Daybreak graced the record, and in 2018, each Spider-Man and God of Struggle duked it out for the highest prize. God of Struggle received that 12 months.
