The official Monolith Gentle web site has confirmed that Nintendo now owns 100% of the acclaimed RPG developer. Monolith Gentle was was initially created with funding from Bandai Namco to work on the Xenogears online game franchise. Nintendo then determined to buy 80% of Monolith Gentle’s shares from Bandai Namco and subsequently elevated their stake to 96% again in 2011. Monolith Gentle founders have since retained their 4% stake int he firm, however that has since modified and now Nintendo owns the complete firm.
